Rules

Raffle Rules:

To raise funds to support care at Bobby’s Hospice, our community’s 10-bed palliative care facility, Hospice Greater Saint John has been hosting Raffle Draws since 2020. The following rules apply:

· Prizes in the Raffles have either been donated or purchased by Hospice for the sole purpose of the Raffle Prize Draws. The value of prizes ranges from $20 to $500

· Tickets for the Raffle Prize Draws are available on-line through the “Win with Hospice” website only.

· The fee to participate in the Prize Draws is $1- $20 per ticket per draw. Fees are set by Hospice based on the value of the prizes.

· Ticket numbers will be generated by Hospice and e-mailed to the participants when the online order is complete.

· The purchaser of tickets for the Raffle Prize Draws must be 19 years or older.

· People may purchase more than one ticket for the Prize Draws.

· Payments can be made through the “Win with Hospice” website only.

· The prize draws are done manually in the Hospice office as required by the licensing body (Department of Public Safety) on the official draw date.

· Winners are notified through e-mail or a phone call and must pick the prize up at Bobby’s Hospice in Saint John, NB during regular business hours. Valid identification is required. Prizes will not be sent out via mail or courier.

· Prizes must be accepted as awarded: no cash substitutes. Prizes awarded may not be exactly as illustrated. Most prizes are new and have been donated, therefore cannot be returned for any reason. All prizes must be claimed within one month of the applicable draw date. If the prize winner cannot be contacted or does not pick up their winnings within 30 days, the prize will be used in another draw.

· In keeping with Hospice privacy policies, Hospice protects the personal information of participants. We will use your personal information to administer and award the Prize Draw and promote the winners on social media, on our website and in our Donor Reports and Annual Report. In addition, we may use this information to send you donor-related and/or program-related communications and for tax receipting purposes, when applicable.

· Proper accounting records are kept and Hospice is audited annually by an independent Chartered Professional Accountant. Audited statements are made available on the Hospice website and in the Annual Report

50/50 Rules:

To raise funds to support care at Bobby’s Hospice, our community’s 10-bed palliative care facility, Hospice Greater Saint John sells tickets to a quarterly 50/50 Ticket Draw. The following rules apply:

Tickets for the quarterly 50/50 Draw are available through the “Win with Hospice” website only.

· The fee to participate in the 50/50 Ticket Draw is 1 for $5, 3 for $10, 6 for $18 or 20 for $50.

· You will receive all ticket numbers to your email once you place your order.

· The total number of 50/50 numbers available for sale is unlimited.

· For 2022 our quarterly 50/50 draws will be as followed January 1 – March 31 , April 1 – June 30, July 1- Sept 30, Oct 1 -Dec 31.

· The purchaser of a number for the 50/50 Draw must be 19 years or older.

· Payments are to be made through the “Win with Hospice” website only.

· The prize draws are done manually as required by the licensing body (Department of Public Safety) at the end of the day on the draw date.

· The winner of the 50/50 Draw prize will receive 50% of the total accumulated jackpot. The remainder will stay with Hospice.

· Winners are notified through e-mail or a phone call and must pick the cheque up at Bobby’s Hospice in Saint John, NB with valid identification. Cheques can be sent out via mail if the winner is unable to pick it up at Bobby’s Hospice. All prizes must be claimed within one month of the applicable draw date. If prize is not claimed within 30 days the funds will be donated back to Hospice.

Auction Rules:

To raise funds to support care at Bobby’s Hospice, our community’s 10-bed palliative care facility, Hospice Greater Saint John is hosting Auctions. The following rules apply:

· Bidding for all auction items is done through the “Win with Hospice” website only.

· Bidding increments vary for each item.

· To set up automatic bidding on an auction listing, enter the maximum amount you would like to pay for the item and place your bid. We will bid in increments on your behalf to keep you in the lead but only up to your limit. We will let you know if someone outbids you and you can decide if you want to increase your maximum limit.

· “BUY IT NOW” option. Purchase the item for the “Buy It Now” price on our website and the item will be yours upon payment.

· All sales are final. Items may not be exchanged and no money will be refunded. All items are sold “as is” unless otherwise noted.

· Hospice reserves the right to add or remove items from the online auction at any time without notice.

· Auction descriptions may include an estimate of the item at fair market value. All values are estimates only and are not guaranteed.

· Auction items can be listed at any time and will run for 7 days from the time the item is listed. Countdown timer is clearly listed on each item.

· All bidders must be 19 years or older to participate.

· Payments are to be made through the “Win with Hospice” website only.

· WINNING BIDS: The participants with the highest bids at the closing of the auction become buyers and are obligated to purchase the item(s).

· Winners are notified through e-mail or a phone call and must pick the item up at Bobby’s Hospice in Saint John, NB with valid identification. All auction items must be claimed within one month of the auction closing.

· In keeping with Hospice privacy policies, Hospice protects the personal information of participants. We will use your personal information to administer and award the 50/50 Draw and promote the winners on social media, on our website, in our Donor Reports and Annual Report. In addition, we may use this information to send you donor-related and/or program-related communications and for tax receipting purposes, when applicable.

52 Week Split Rules

To raise funds to support care at Bobby’s Hospice, our community’s 10-bed palliative care facility, Hospice Greater Saint John sells tickets to an Annual 52 Week Split Draw. The following rules apply:

· Tickets for the 52 Week Split are available through the “Win with Hospice” website or directly at Bobby’s Hospice.

· The fee to participate in the 52 Week Split is $52.

· You will receive all ticket numbers to your email once you place your order. If a ticket is purchased in person you will receive a hard copy of your ticket number.

· The total number of 52 Week Split tickets available is 1,000.

· Tickets go on sale September 1st for the following year.

· The purchaser of a ticket into the 52 Week Split Draw must be 19 years or older.

· Payments are to be made through the “Win with Hospice” website, in person or over the phone.

· The prize draws are done manually as required by the licensing body (Department of Public Safety) every other Friday.

· The 26 winners of the 52 Week Split will each receive $1,000. The remainder will stay with Hospice.

· Winners are notified through e-mail or a phone call and must pick the cheque up at Bobby’s Hospice in Saint John, NB with valid identification. Cheques can be sent out via mail if the winner is unable to pick it up at Bobby’s Hospice. All prizes must be claimed within one month of the applicable draw date. If the prize is not claimed within 30 days the funds will be donated back to Hospice.
